Ulead Videostudio 9 Trial Version Vs Retail Boxed Version

Post by NewGuy »

I have been using the trial version of Videostudio 9 for 14 days. I am happy that the sync problem has now been corrected.
I went out and purchased the retail boxed edition of Videostudio 9 but noticed that the retail boxed edition is version 9.00.000 while the trial version is 9.00.100.
My question is does the retail boxed version 9.00.000 have the sync problems? If so are there updates that will correct this?

Thanks

As far as i know VS 9 does not suffer from the OOS problem found in VS 8.
The program works very well so far

I think everyone with the boxed version is likely to have version 9.00.000, particularly since, AFAIK, no updates to VS 9 have yet been released by Ulead. Equally, I have no idea how many builds the trial version might have.

Yes I'm with you Ken - I see no reason at all why the trial programme and the full programme should have identical version numbers - they are two different programmes.

The trial didn't become available until after the retail product (both boxed and ESD) became available, and since the trial wrapper had to be integrated into it subsequent to that, the developers should have assigned a new build number to it. I'm not surprised the version numbers don't match.
