Trevor is away for a few days so will not be able to update you
I am not sure from reading his posts whether he actually used Format Factory or not - like you I cannot see any ts outputs in there
I think he may have simply put your video in his timeline and then rendered it out as a standard m2ts video using the VideoStudio settings that he uses for his Panasonic camera files.

Re: Files from VS12 to X5
I've just dropped an m2ts clip into X5, given it a bit of a brightness tweak & rendered as "Same as first video clip" & saved it as the resulting m2t file. Upon reloading the rendered m2t file into a new X5 project, it plays happily as a clip! Only problem is there are a lot of video clips over the 12 days of holiday. Then again, it might be easier than changing the mp4 version back do unreliable m2ts files after I've finished editing.

Re: Files from VS12 to X5
Hi
Yes Brian you are correct, I did use Video Studio to convert the files.
John, if you are able to convert successfully using X5, there is a Batch Convert option from the File menu, or maybe Edit menu.
You can add all files, then manually set the render properties, I think under the options button.
I do not have X5 installed to give more details, still on holiday and using the laptop.
Up early this morning and managed to get wifi connection.
John, you seem to say that your video used to work ok, so has anything changed with the camera settings, maybe using a higher quality option.
Are you able to set a lower quality option that will record using 18000kbps ish.
Format Factory
That I think will convert the video but use progressive rather than interlacing, not sure what that would do to the quality.
Don't have FF installed on the laptop so cannot comment on settings but would have thought mpeg at 1920 x1080 would be better for your files than MP4

Re: Files from VS12 to X5
Thank you Trevor, yes there is indeed a Batch Convert option from the File menu. I'm now busy batch converting the m2ts files! Bingo - hopefully...
John.
