Wont Let Me Import More Videos Into Library X6

Post by beno171717 »

Hi there,

I have an issue that I can not seem to figure out over the last couple of months, can anyone help?

I can not import any more videos into my library (Corel videostudio X6) to finish my video. The video is only at 15mins. I have 8Gb of ram on my laptop and about 50Gb of hard drive space left.
I get a message similar to "the programme has encountered an unspecified problem and will close"

If I delete a video it will let me import another video into the library. Does the library have a Gb limit??
Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks
Ben

I am not aware of any size limit on the library - in any case the library you see in VideoStudio just contains small links - each thumbnail in there is just a link to your actual video file and only takes up a few bytes of your system - the actual files are somewhere on your hard drive - not actually 'IN' VideoStudio.

How many thumbnails do you have in your library - there may be a limit to how many thumbnails can be shown

have you tried creating an additional library and putting your videos in there - does VideoStudio allow you to do that.

have you tried inserting the videos direct to the time line - it is not necessary to actually use a library - right click on a blank space in the timeline and choose "insert video" from the pop out and browse to your video and select it - does VideoStudio allow you to do that

Hi BrianCee,

Cheers for the post, i had a mess around with what you mentioned. It eliminated a lot of questions.
I think the issue was that a file I had copied over was corrupt... once it was deleted all the files loaded properly
