Hi Guys, I am getting the message "WinDVD will disable your Windows Aero environment to enable Blu-ray playback" in WinDVD Pro 11. I know there are other posts about this, but a lot of the answers are way over my head. My Blu-rays won't play, nor can I close the program. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling WinDVD from the disc, but no changes to the above.
I've had WinDVD Pro for 3 months and tonight is the first time I've seen this.
Sorry, be gentle with me, I'm not massively techie, but I would really appreciate any simply-explained solutions for this problem.
Thanks in advance...

Re: WinDVD will disable your Windows Aero...
I remember - it always wrote - it must drop out - to basic. Before it should and would play the Blu-ray Movie.
Maybe the reason my HP mini 210-4000cto will not install the Win7 graphics driver in Windows 10 - Metro Apps problem.
Metro Apps do not exist in Windows 7 - its some type of Graphics problem.
I have almost every version of WinDVD and now there is WinDVD BD I bought over 10 copies thinking I could sometime
get it to work - all I do is buy more with not much to show for buying. I tried being a beta tester thinking I explain things.
They just wanted me to test other things - their email questionnaire failed to work - therefore made it useless to help.
I tried several forums to get the answer - they wrote it depends on what computer you have and what video card you use.

I get this too with the new WinDVD pro 1 on Windows 10, returned to Pro 11 & that was the same - previously I'd had no problem playing blu ray. I even tried setting the default theme but no change.

I finally solved this by running an in-place repair install of the OS.
