Ok, so I was experimenting with the "Video Mask" feature in the "Mask and Chroma Key" menu. When I opened up the "video mask" in the drop-down menu, I had one mask in the box. I worked with it a bit and found it pretty cool..so while playing around I clicked on the "+" key to the right of the box that holds the mask option(s)....and like an idiot I clicked on the "-" and deleted the only mask option that was in the box. Obviously the + and the - are for adding and deleting masks.
So, now I have nothing in the box, and I cannot find where the masks are stored! Can someone tell me where I can find the masks?

Re: Video Masks in VSx8 - where are they?
the masks are in \Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8\Samples\Image folder
these are the M**.bmp you can add any other bmp's you want, VS will convert them to 8bit to be used as mask.
It's very strange you had only one, there are 37 build in since ever.

Re: Video Masks in VSx8 - where are they?
Unfortunately asik those images you have linked to are not the video masks - those are the standard mask frames.
Like Mark I only have one Video Mask and that is located in :- C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8\Samples\Video and is named "Video Matte 01.mp4" - you should be able to add it back in from there Mark
There are instructions on how to make your own video masks on pages 144 and 145 of the User guide for X8
