Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Hi Mike
And we do not wish to be rude criticizing the YT footage, I did watch quite a few of your other clips and they seemed ok, much better than this one.
Viewing your video properties I cannot see any real issues that would cause this.
Certainly it does not look good. Just as though the 30 fps has been rendered to 25fps, that effectively removes one frame in five and can cause that jutter?
Generally more pronounced when panning, but moving trains across the screen is as good as panning.
Is it possible that the project properties were set to 25 fps even though you rendered to 30?
Using Show Messages should overcome that?

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Hi Trevor
That's ok, constructive criticism is how we learn and I value yours and the other members greatly.
When I initially added clips to the timeline despite having the 'show details' box checked no message was shown!
I had set the template to 30fps 1080p at the start having read a few comments on here already.
I am perplexed!
What I shall do shortly is put up a clip from the same video, unlisted just for your views here.
This one will be rendered taking into account all the advice to this point.
Regards
Mike

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
File is uploading now.
What is your opinion on my observation that when viewing the file that Studio made it plays smoothly without issue, yet on the YouTube version I can also see the jitter?
Cheers

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Hi Mike
It is probably just a one off so rendering again is the next step. But if there was a problem it would be nice to find out what?
You can view the offending video from the timeline or library, nudging frame by frame (press (F - forward) and (D for back – I think Corel slipped up and that should be B ) should show the sequence, each frame being a little advanced from the other, I suspect there may be duplicate frames where the video does not move? Or maybe goes back a frame?
It could of course be You Tube as they convert our videos, as far as I know?

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Hi Mike
Thanks for that, I will have a look later, I need to do a little work in the garden.
I have downloaded the original video from YT to play in Video Studio, at first I thought it looked better.
When I nudge through the frames I thing there is a frame missing every now and then, i can see the trains advance at an even rate, then a bigger move, I will have another look later.

First impressions the test clip looks ok

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
If you find a section of the video that is particularly bad, let me know.
Maybe I can clip it out of the original file and upload it 'as is' to a file share site?
Cheers

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Hi Mike
The videos I downloaded from TY seem to use a frame size of 1280 x 720 with 29.97 and 30 fps
I don’t understand that unless YT has change the size?
It may be best for you to upload a sample to a sharing site, one of the original recorded clips. You cannot trim these as that would render to another file and we really need the originals.
Google Drive or Microsoft One Drive are free and as good as any to use to upload the sample

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Just been searching and it seems YouTube has blocked us from being able to download 1080p vidoes.
Is that the case here?

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
Hi Mike
That video link is a video that you rendered.
We need the original video from the camera before you edit.
Then we can try to replicate the YT problem.
I don't know why there should be a problem with using 1920 x 1080 video????

Re: Uploading to YouTube within Studio
My apologies here is a link to an original file.
Thinking about it, the one thing I did on most clips was apply the auto white balance function, wonder if that caused an issue.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/cp2lmpq9t6chr ... 1.MP4?dl=0
Link all working now
Had to use drop box as onedrive would not upload, just ignore the sign ups etc.
I have it confirmed from YouTube that currently all newly uploaded 1080p files can not be downloaded as 1080p on 720p

I rendered your clip as "first clip" and it was just as good.
I rendered it with auto white balance and auto tone - darker at 24MB, and it was better to my eyes
Render again but at 15MB , just as good.

Thanks, Would you conclude that the issue is with YouTube then not my output or indeed input clips?
