As Brian shows in his image, (a picture paints a thousand words) Corel have re-located the Corel Guide and Do-More from top right, and yes the colours do change from time to time with different versions, only cause for confusion.

Sorry to be a bother again but those Menu packs don't seem to be available under Do More in Pro X7; I'd be interested in whether they are around in Pro X8. I still have them in Pro X6 - is there any way to migrate them? I tried copying them into the equivalent Pro X7 HD folder but it didn't pick them up even after reloading Pro X7.

I still have menu pack 2 available in X7 - can you not find them as per my image below.

That's incredibly odd. In mine it jumps from the Bonus content download to the HTML 10 one, and the two Menu Packs just don't appear anywhere. Can't think why ours are different as they are both X7. I have actually raised it with Corel as part of my Support query on chapters, so if I don't get any joy I'll have to raise a separate support query with them unless anyone in the group has got any ideas why.

Curiously enough, I have just fired up my own X7 and those menu packs are not there either under Templates or All! I am pretty sure they were there when I originally installed X7, and certainly the extra templates are available when I get to the Menu stage of the burning module. But they should still show in the Corel Guide, although with the indication "Installed" under them, which appears under other packs I have installed from the Corel Guide in X7.

However, they are there in X8's Guide and show as Installed. As I say, curious...

Definitely not there Trevor. I've been down the whole list several times. Strange that Brian has shown a screen shot of them there under X7, and, as you say Ken, you must have had them there at some time if they're present in the burning module.

I guess from the silence no-one knows how to migrate them from X6 where I have them. I'm sure I copied some across (without installing) in a previous release, but maybe Corel have tightened up on definition. At this rate I could end up going back to X6 just to get a decent set of thumbnails for AVCHD!

You can copy menu templates from version to version - I have done it quite often

In X7 (64 bit) they are in a series of folders under - - C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7\Content\Menu Template

in that folder are numerous sub folder - some for 4:3 - some for 16:9 - some for HD - some thumbnail menus - etc etc etc.

I have just copied from one version to identical folders in another - but make sure you copy all files for each template - this may be two files (a .ufo and a .ini) but most versions have three (a .ufo , a .ini and a .png) they have strange names but if they have a .png you can view them with Windows (Right click on .png and choose 'preview' from the pop up) to see which one is which

look in all the folders under the 'Menu Template' folder to familiarise yourself with the set up.

When you get around to creating your own menus they will be stored in a 'favorites' folder which is here - - C:\Users\Brian\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\17.0\Favorites and will appear in the menu gallery drop down choices as 'Favorites'

folders are similar for all versions with just the number changing to match the versions.

I have looked at my Corel Guide and they also show as Brains image, very strange that you and Ken cannot see them?

A little late over here, but I will send you the link or file to the menu packs, maybe tomorrow.

And yes you should be able to copy the files from X6
They are saved here C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X6\Content\Menu Template

There are a few folders, so may take a while to ID the actual files needed.

I will get bac to you with more info....

Thanks Brian and Trevor. I thought that is what I'd done but maybe I missed something. I'll certainly try again as it confirms that I did do this in an earlier version successfully.

Just for info Support have confirmed to me that there is no way to update chapter images on SmartScene menus, He also sent me a link for X6 to X7 migration (held on Google Drive) but it turned out to be only for X6 Titles missing from X7. So I am querying with him about our discrepancy on Menu Packs at X7 (as to why that might be) and whether he has got a similar link for the Templates.

I am uploading the Menu packs to my One Drive, I will send the link via private message when upload is complete, seems a little slow this morning.
I am sure Corel support will fix the Do-More links giving you access to the files.

You could try pressing Ctrl+F5 to re-load the Do more panel, not sure if that will work but does for normal web pages.

Have you tried re-setting the program to its default state by re naming the folder “17.0” to “17.0old”
That will also reset the library, but you can always return to the old version by re-naming the folder again?

Thanks all, and in particular user lata for links to the Menu Pack downloads. I am grateful to everyone for their help; proof once again that these forums work. If I get any update from Corel Support on why the Menu packs are missing from Corel's normal Do-More route for X7 (for some of us) then I'll update this thread.

Support did acknowledge they sent me the wrong link but have now sent me a link for X6 Templates in case anyone requires it. It's a zip link on Google Drive and is 346Mb so I won't be downloading it as user lata sent me a separate link just for the Menu Packs. The Corel link has 64 zipped .exe files and is at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3T64Z ... sp=sharing if anyone requires it. It has Corel's usual highly informative (not) naming conventions so you don't know what you're getting until you download it!
