My apologies if this has already been discussed here but I did search for a while without finding anything.
I currently do not use X3 much personally but I'm researching this for someone else. They received an update offer and I'm curious if someone could enlighten me about the differences between X3 and X7 ultimate. I'd like to determine if the upgrade is worth it. They don't currently do video editing but might like to do some minor editing in the future. I'm not even sure if this is a possibility with X3. My biggest concern is two fold; whether the new version will have a lot of additional options that won't get used and thus complicate things, and also if the system requirements are such that it will not perform satisfactorily. The machine has the recommended RAM requirement of 4 GB.
Any information/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Just to be clear, are we actually talking about photo editing or video editing? Because PaintShop Pro does not do video editing. Though you can grab a screen shot of a video and do some photo editing on that. For video you want VideoStudio.

If you are talking about PSP and not Video Studio, here is a link to a comparison chart. It starts with X4; not X3 but I'm sure your friend already knows what X3 is capable of doing.
