Accidentally working in file mode: how to copy settings?

Post by Kneops »

This happens to me more than I would like: importing an image folder from within the filemode to a catalog, but then forgetting that I'm still in filemode. So my adjustments and flags etc. are not (visible) within catalog mode. Do I have to start over or can I somehow copy my settings to the catalogs?

Strange though, because when I view my ASP folder, there are the folders.catalogs (2015 and backwards), but accept some subfolders like assets, they are all empty.

I use file mode all the time as I think it is much easier and faster. In this mode all the image edits are stored in XMP files.
Just reimport the files and the XMP changes are stores in the Catalog.
Still learning after all these years!
