If you are using a DVD recorder make sure your discs are “finalised” before removing from the recorder. However my recorder automatically finalised RW types when ejecting.
Hi Chris

I have a LG DVD Recorder rhd 387, not been used in quite a while.
Given a bit of time I will try capturing some footage, I could try connecting the camcorder but I guess any input would do?
Just have to find a DVD + RW disc.

As far as I know “finalising” RW type discs is done automatically when removing the disc, but you may be best to place the disc back into the recorder and Finalise manually, there is an option via the disc menu structure.
Unless I am getting confused and it is automatic for DVD –R?

Maybe finalising creates the missing menu vob? Effectively closing the disc.
