I just tried to burn a DVD using DVD MF3 and monitored the progress. This was a test to burn a 3.44G mpeg which was created in VS9. Everything was going find up until the Finalizing VOB part. Right after that reached 100% an error popped up with "Source File had some problems," [5003]. I keep thinking it is a size problem, but according to the required vs available, I had 3.44/4.38, which should have worked. Also, below those numbers there are two set in parentheses, (3.69)/(4.70). What are those? When I responded OK to the error prompt another prompt came up saying Cannot Open File [14252:1:0]. Does anyone know why this is happening? I burned the same file, but cut it from 2hrs to 1.25 and it worked just fine in Roxio DVD Builder. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
AC

I own MF3 Moviefactory SE, and tried to install the updates, but apparently the patches only work with the full retail version. And another thing, I have noticed that for all these projects, I am burning one long mp3 which was made in VS9 out of two captures, and the second half of the DVD is always out of sync between audio and video... So tonight i tried saving 2 mpegs of the video file, then created a dvd with the two mpegs perfectly in sync. what gives with that? Both VS and MF are doing that to me when I try to burn the previously mentioned single mpg. Frustrating. VS works great for compiling and editing the video, but both programs can't handle creating DVDs. VS6 never gave me this problem.ploggy wrote:Try reinstalling the software and apply the patches. When you export the MPG in VS9 did you use the NTSC (or PAL) DVD format?
Dont mind the values in parenthesis. The actual required/available disc space is 3.44/4.38.

To answer your other question, I set export MPG settings to NTSC...matching my settings for capture (4000 VBR) since this is old analog tape that isn't that great in qualityploggy wrote:Try reinstalling the software and apply the patches.
