PSP X2 Duplicates Found

Post by MenaceRx »

I have never seen this before in all my years of using PSP. I have X2, X3, and X6 currently. X2 is my preferred version and the one installed right now.

I did a windows update recently, dont know if they could cause it or something else. I havent done any PSP updates that I know of recently.

I watched a video that shows a .bat file that can do a cleanup but that file is no longer hosted. Any one have some simple instructions on how to clear this up.

How did you get to this showing as an error file and what makes you think these are errors? It would be useful to know how you got to this list.

These files are the Patterns that you use in X2. Open some of the .jpgs to confirm. There is a separate directory of the patterns, tubes, swatches, etc. for each version of PSP. In later versions these items were stored in different locations than what you show.

Check your Preferences>File Locations and click on Patterns and see if you have shown a path to two different folders for the same patterns.

Thanks. So what I did was go under preferences and reset all settings to default. It was popping up that error beccause of multiple locations, which is odd, because I installed and patched PSP X2 on my new SSD months ago and it didnt do this initially.

So I just went to File -> Preferences - Reset Application Preferences. Now everything functions as normal. Told it to clean up all the old caches and reset everything to factory install settings.

They pop as an error on start, guess somewhere along the line I ended up with multiple caches confusing the program. I assume it happened when something got patched or updated. Though I dont know when or what.
