Thanks for looking at it. I'm not surprised that the clip works for you! They all work on my Asus desktop, which is also running Windows 8.1, but do not work on the new Dell laptop. I"m not sure I understand how it could be anything else but an m2ts. As Ken said, m2ts files are really AcVHD. The extension that shows up on the files depends on whether you download them from the camera by copying from the SD card or by using the Panasonic software that came with the video camera. Maybe tomorrow I'll get an answer from Corel!! HaHa!

Could you please complete your user profile, it may help if we have a better understanding of your setup.
If this is a new Dell computer have you updated the graphic card drivers, drivers supplied with new computers are historically always out of date

I also have no problem adding/playing the m2ts file in VS-X7 or VS-X8. Also tried in Corels Roxio Creator NXT 3 - again no problem whatsoever.

Hi thp200

No problems there, the video is bog standard and should not cause any real issues.

As I said my laptop was brand new yet needed a different graphics driver.
I had many problems using the program and displaying the library correctly.
Are you experiencing any other error messages?

View this web page for details of my problems.

Resolution: As Trevor said, you wouldn't think a new laptop would not have the latest drivers ( in this case, one that was released in March) but that was the case. The computer actually has 2 graphics cards, the NVIDiA and an Intel card. I had previously updated the NVIDIA drivers. Went to Intel site, they said go to Dell site. Ran the Dell optimizer and it said everything was ok. So I got distracted and went down another path looking for the problem. Finally tonight went to the Dell Support and Downloads page ( a different page than where I looked before) and found there was an update for the Intel device. Downloaded it and, voila, VS works! Too bad I wasted so much time trying to find the solution!

Hi

Thanks for the update and happy you are up and running.
If its any conciliation it took me about 12 months to find the problem, but then I was not using the program that often.

Come back if you have any other problems
