Pro X6 Audio Glitches After Rendering

Post by ahaywire »

I have been using Pro X6 for a while now and have recently encountered a new problem. After rendering my edited video, I am encountering small audio "hiccups" throughout my project. The sound on the raw video is fine. And the sound is also completely fine while editing the project. It's only after rendering that I get several audio glitches dispersed throughout the finished video. I used to render without any problems at all, so it has been a bit baffling.

Please help. Is there anything that I can do to remedy this? I've been stuck for a while.

Unfortunately you've told us nothing about the original format of your video or what you are rendering it to. It's impossible to even guess what might be happening, so please give us some more information.

Files are MP4 and being rendered in MPEG-4 AVC, which is the format that worked for me in the past.

Apologies, I am admittedly a novice trying to learn as I go. So far I've been doing okay, but this has been a bit of a stumbling block that I can't quite figure out.

Thanks!

Where exactly did the original mp4 come from? While you are producing mp4 AVC, it might not necessarily have been produced using the same codec as used in AVCHD (H.264). Can you please right click on one of the original clips in either the VS timeline or library window and copy ALL its Properties here, or else take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment.

Also, in Preferences > General, have you ticked the box beside 'Show message when inserting first video clip'? If you do that, and insert your first clip you should get a message asking if you want the Project Properties to match those of the clip. However, unfortunately X6 is rather more limited in the type of clip this will work on that the current X8.

When you render your project, have you tried unticking SmartRender? While this will mean the render will take more time, it has been known with some other audio problems to fix them...
