Recording Button Difficulties VideoStudioProX6

Hello Corel Community!

I am a huge fan of Corel and the service the Video Studio provides but I have encountered some technical difficulties with the audio recording. This is an urgent message as I have an assignment due tomorrow and I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Basically, when I launch Corel Video Studio Pro X6, and press screen capture, the red record button is completely locked and faded. What I'm most concerned with however is the audio recording. What I think the problem is, is that my Stereo Mix is locked at "Default Communications Device" instead of "Default Device" due to the overlap of the recording devices.

I would really appreciate any support as I have been working on this for literally the past five hours having searched Youtube, Google, Online Forums.

Thank you, but now the audio is fixed, but the recording button is completely locked.
Can anyone think of any possible reasons as to why it's locked?

I really need to get this fixed as soon as possible and would greatly appreciate any help.
