Hi, I use Lightroom and edit them in PSP. Here is my choices when I edit in PSP
TIFF, PSD, JPEG ( want to use layer)
Color space: ProPhoto RGB, Adobe GRB (1998), sRGB
16/8 bits
What would keep the colors the best?
Thanks

To use and keep layers you need to stick with PSP's own file format. I always use 16 bit tiffs and then convert to PSPImage if I need to use layers.
In my case sRGB seems perfectly acceptable.

Best for what? You?- whatever you are hapy with on your system.
for others on their systems (emails/ web)? Again what looks best for you as you have no control on how the systems of others are set up and how they view the images on their systems.
For prints? again for you? or for others?
Depends on who prints them , how they print them, where they are to be displayed, whether they have to be pleasing to you or to others.
Personally I do not do large prints, nor do I need to chase after every possible pixel by using 16 bit , prolab or worrying about the largest color space, nor regretting the ghosts of lost pixels.
I shoot Raw + jpg at highest quality - process Raw if I have not been careful enough in taking the jpegs (error corrections) and then throw away probably more than 50 % of the image data when I produce final images of less than 3000 pixels on the long side.
By trying my best to get the jpgs exposed as close to natural colors I reduce the requirement for pixel destroying processing to a minimum. If I am happy with my results then the rest can go jump.
You cannot please all the people all the time.
