Hi all,
Using VS Ultimate X8
Has anyone found a way to keep the Options Panel open? Or else, to have it automatically open when an effect or clip is selected? I like to tinker with the settings available for such elements, but it's getting old to have to constantly click on the "Options" button to open the Options Panel every time I select an element. And even if I don't intend on changing any of the settings from within the Options Panel, the current "status" information displayed via the panel (i.e., specific transition time code) is always valuable.
So why doesn't it open by default anyway? Does blocking the thumbnails in the library window really present that much of a nuisance to most users, that Corel elected to keep the Options Panel hidden by default? Just curious.
Thanks!

I don't know any way to keep it open - but you do not need to keep clicking the Options button - just double click the clip or effect in the timeline and the options panel will open.

As Brian said.
I know it's not much, but it at least omits having to move the mouse/cursor to the Options button. Your cursor is usually on or near the timeline anyway. Just double click on it.

Re: Keeping Options Panel Open?
Thank you both! I didn't see that feature mentioned in the pdf manual, nor did I think of simply trying that!
