unregister and re-register Videostudio

Post by ckeb98 »

I want to uninstall the program on my computer and give it to my sister on her computer. The problem is that I registered it with Corel when I installed it 2 months ago. I have never used it and I am hoping someone can help me to legally get it to her and registered to her and unregistered to me?

Please help me. Thanks so much in advance! :)

Uninstall it, give it to her and leave it registered to you.

Hi ckeb98

The forum is run by volunteers we do not work for Corel, personally I do not know the answer to moving your registration to another user, although I don’t think it will be a problem?

The EULA (maybe worth a read) allows you to install the program on one PC unless given permission by Corel.

There is no problems uninstalling from your pc and installing on another, the registration gives you access to Corel Support and Corel Guides for Do-More downloads, it should not affect the functionality of the program.

You will be best to contact Corel, either Corel Support or Corel on Facebook.
At least your question should get a reply.

I will also raise the question to see if I can find any details?

by the way what version are you using?

Hi ckeb98

This is the reply I received from Corel…………

“If the software has being given to another person and uninstalled from the original machine, then basically it is fine.
For registration to transfer to another one as well, that needs legal to clarify. I have sent a request to legal about this and will keep you posted if there is a answer.”

When you install on another machine you may be asked to register, all that should be required is to input the e-mail used for the original registration.
That should give access to the Corel Guides and Do-More templates.
