Hello,
I suspect I'm missing something obvious, but I'm perplexed about how to open a new instance of VideoStudio Ultimate X8 with an empty media folders list. I've got a number of media folders that I created during my learning/practice period that I wish to keep, but that I don't need cluttering up the list when I transition into the production phase. I'd like to open a fresh VS with no media folders so I can have a clean slate, so to speak.
In other words, in watching tutorials I see they have one or two folders in their media list named "Tutorials" or whatever, and nothing else. Obviously, they have an instance of VS where they have their real production folders listed.
Alternately, is there a way to hide my created folders or create a folder tree?
Without being able to do something about it, I can envision having a huge, cluttered media folder list before too long.
This must be a common problem. So, what am I missing?

Re: Open VideoStudio in new instance
you cannot open a new instance of Videostudio - as with most other software there is only ever one instance - what you set when you close it is what you see when you open it - if you don't want to see so many library folders then delete the ones you do not want to see
click on the name of the media file folder you want to remove - press the 'Delete' key on your keyboard. - folder gone
YOU HAVE NOT DELETED ANY OF YOUR MEDIA - the media file folder thumbnails are just links to your media files - nothing happens if you delete them
If you open a real folder in Windows file explorer and make sure all the media that you use in any one project is put in there then you can very quickly rebuild a library folder if you should want to.

Thank you Brian.
I guess that's what I'll have to do. I was just thinking/hoping that there was a more elegant way to do it built into VS's folder management system.

Or move all folders you want to keep into one folder, you'll only see this one when you open VS.
