I do appear to have duplicate frames, according to MediaInfo and GSpot, the video is 15fps, now the video is 84.06 seconds which should mean 1261 frames, which is what GSpot indicates, yet I have a total of 2017 frames equating to 23.99 frames/second, so is my understanding of fps wrong.
I used Free Video to JPG Converter to change the video to single frame images

Where do you see 2017 frames?

That's the number of frames after converting video to JPG
I always use this converter, mainly when creating slow motion, gives absolutely smooth slomo playback and this is the first time the frame count has varied from actual

Thanks for the info about the convertor. I installed it, ran it on the clip and I get the same number of frames (2017).

When I view the successive images, I notice that not every frame is duplicated. I wonder if the extra frames are due to the duplicated frames?

This is sure a strange video.
