In Psp 7 the icon for 'edit this script' automatically opens Windows Notepad.
I prefer Notepad++ because the lines are numbered, the search facility is efficient.
Previous versions of Psp allowed Notepad++ to be the editor.
Is there a registry edit?
I have the file type PSPscript enabled in Notepad++ but the icon appears to be hard coded for Notepad.
Therefore do I have to do the available 'replace Windows Notepad' with Notepad++ as a global change in the Windows 7 OS
At the moment I have to go out of Psp to the folder for scripts in Explorer, find the script, right click and edit with Notepad++
There is an issue with a Sheilsoft resizing script on line 58 when used in PSP7. The script worked in Psp5

Re: Use Preferred Text Editor for adjusting Scripts
I use Notepad++ as well for my script editing. PaintShop Pro does not use the Windows default program for editing scrips. You have to define the editor you want to use inside of PSP.
Inside PSP go to File -> Preferences -> File Locations.
Under Scripts you'll see the path to NOTEPAD.EXE go ahead and hit the "Browse" button to browse to the Notepad++.exe file.

Its in the PYTHON section.
I guess my PSP 7 install didn't pick up that I had that preference previously
THANK YOU for the quick response.
