Nividia Graphic card cant be detected by program

Post by Teongpeng »

Hello guys,

I'm currently using Corel VideoStudio Pro X5.

My laptop is:
MSI GE620DX
Intel Core i7-2670QM
Nvidia GeForce GT635M/2GB GDDR3
8GB RAM

My problem is, when I launch the Nvidia Control Panel to select my graphic source, I cant pick my Nvidia card for Videostudio. My other programs like games and softwares are allowed to choose their graphic processor in the Nvidia Control Panel. Videostudio is stuck with Integrated Graphics as an option. Other programs suffering the same thing is Microsoft Movie Maker. Is there some settings I've accidentally put on in my laptop that effects video editing software and their compatibility with my GPU?

I've the latest driver from Nvidia installed. I've also downloaded latest pack for Corel Videostudio Pro X5. And I've just downloaded trial version of Videostudio X8 and still same....unable to use my Nvidia GPU.

Help!

Does your computer show a message when you install a new program asking which GPU should be assigned to that program? I have a HP i7 which does that... Otherwise, going into the BIOS and permanently using the NVidia card with all your programs might be the only solution...
