Plenty of crashes

Post by pgman »

Hi,

I have 2.2 on an xUbuntu box and I'm browsing a small directory on a few hundred files. I'm selecting, deleting and renaming and it crashes all over:

Here are section (the log is 6136 lines) that I think are important

Any suggestion on how I can fix my problem?

Thanks

I am also having crashes, running 32-bit on Ubuntu 15.04. I may be having the same problem as you, my crashes happen only when I try to drag and drop a photo. I normally drag-and-drop to the Output window, and I've had to stop doing that (using right-click instead to send to a batch).

My log looks similar to yours, with the last message being the "unbalanced save/restore." I capture a core file from the crash (it was a segmentation fault) and grabbed this stack trace, in case that is helpful to anyone at Corel.

Code: Select all

Core was generated by `./AfterShotPro'.
Program terminated with signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

This isn't the entire stack trace, it was about 55 calls deep. I am still trying to do research on my own, but I'm not sure how far I will get -- the crash is happening inside AfterShot Pro libraries, not system libraries, and the library with the call that's crashing (libqxcb.so) is stripped of debugging symbols so I can't see even the names of the functions it's calling.

My plugins folder is empty, so as far as I know I am not running any plugins, that was my first thought when I saw the crash.

Is anyone else seeing something like this? Or, if you are crashing on Linux, if you need help capturing a core file and getting a stack trace like this, I can help. Maybe we are all crashing in the same spot.

Same problem with 2.2 on Ubuntu 14.04.2. Drag and dropping to output crashes system. Currently have down graded to 2.1 which seems to be still working good. Also has all the plug-ins I use. Will try 2.2 again when the plug-ins catch up.
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem here too. Every time I try to drag a photo preview, the program just crashes with a segmentation fault. I'm running ASP 2.2.0.29 on Ubuntu 14.04 and 15.04, both 64 bits.

Is there a way to move photos between collection folders without using drag & drop?

Hi
I'm uploading the program stack when it crashes. The segmentation fault occurs when we try to drag any preview.

Cheers

Just upgraded to ASP-2.2.1. Still crashing with drag and drop. Attached is the ASP.log. Again down graded to 2.1 which is still working good and still has all the plugins I use.

Ubuntu 15.04 x64, Aftershot Pro x64 2.2.1.64, no plugins.

Same here, no drag'n drop possible without crash.
Deleting more than three master versions crashes system too.

I have the same issue. Even the Keywordmanager crashes if you try to drag a keyword from the list to the keywordset.
It probably has nothing to do with photos.
