sjcam 4000 and Videostudio7

Post by eXXited »

Hi,

I'm using Videostudio 7 Servicepack 1.
I can import the mov videos from my sjcam 4000 in Videostudio, but the videos don't work.
I only see a black picture in the preview area. When I play the video, the sound is okay, but no video.
The format is : h264, 24 bit 1920 * 1080

Can anybody gives support?

Thanks
Andreas

Hi Andreas

There were some issues with Mov / Mpeg4 types.
Corel brought out a fix available via the knowledge base, details below

If you have installed the 64 bit version of VideoStudio Pro / Ultimate X7 follow these steps:

1. Download and save the hotfix to your computer.
ftp://coreluserd:Qgo69iX7@cfs2.corel.co ... H3/x64.zip
2. Extract the zip file into a new folder.
3. Copy and overwrite the ulmp4lib.dll file to the following location:

Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8
C:\Program Files\Corel\VideoStudio Pro X7

If you have VideoStudio Ultimate X7 the folder name is:
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7

Unfortunately the download links don’t seem to work that well. I have uploaded some files to my One Drive, try installing from the latest folder.

One drive CVSX7 fixes…………

Yesterday I saw sjcam 4000 for first time. An old friend brought it to record an event. Cute little cam.
Now that I know he has one I will try to get some footage.

Thanks Asik

That would be useful, the original poster did not reply to say if the Hot Fix worked or not?

Are you able to upload to One Drive / Drop Box / Google Drive????

Late to the party. A friend of mine has the same problem. While the SJCAM footage will play back fine on my X6U, on X7U, only the audio.
I pointed him to the links provided above (thanks!), but he has yet gotten back to me. Mother is ill.

I had the same issue with my Sj4000. I tried the Corel fix, and it did NOT work. I had to use Format Factory to convert the video and then it was fine. When I upgraded to VSx8 then everything is fine.
