Automatically assign Project Properties by Video Content

Post by Chris N »

Is there a way to have Project properties automatically assigned (aspect ratio, fps, video format and dimensions) according to the imported native video content properties or does project properties have to me manually adjusted for every video?

Kind Regards
Chris

It doesn't work with all video types but it will will many of the newer HD types

Go to "Preferences" and click to tick the box against "Show message when inserting first video clip in timeline"

now make sure that one of your videos is the first and only thing you put into the timeline and a message box will pop-up asking if you want to set the project properties to be the same as the video properties - say Yes to that and VideoStudio will set the project properties to match the video properties.

Thanks Brian. I tried that but unfortunately it does not work with the imported Quick Time .MOV file I am using. 16:9 14401080 29FPS, total bitrate 8257 kbps. What would be the best settings to use here? At the moment the project settings are set to DVD.

Kind Regards
