Recently upgraded to a new camera and now in x6 and X7 I see the NEF raw files as washed out in the editing section. When I preview them on Windows Viewer they are fine as well as on another laptop and iPad.
is there a broken setting or fix somewhere in X6/X7 for this issue? This just started occurring and did not appear in photos from the previous camera.

Re: washed out photos (x6/x7)
The photos are washed out if the program doesn't support that particular cameras RAW format- each camera, even by the same manufacturer has a different codec so while one model's NEF raw may be supported, another may not. Evidently PSP X6 or X7 does not support your camera. If you can view them OK in Windows picture viewer or another program, then that means they have the codecs for that camera.
Check Corel's list of supported in cameras in PSP.
A free program for RAW that may support them is RAW Therapee- http://rawtherapee.com/downloads

I have the same problem with my new d7200. I'm not sure where I check for 'supported cameras', the corel website maybe. Not finding it in help in my program (x7pro). How do I find and install the needed codecs or adjust settings for this to work. I thought the camera was screwed at first. BTW found the supported cameras and my d7200 is on the list.
The odd thing is when viewing in after shot2 the raw images seem fine. I am shooting in 14bit and lossless compression. I'm guessing the issue has to do with one or both of those. Settings change? Or just Corel figuring it out and updating? Any help would be great. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the rawtherapee program above. Adding another step doesn't seem reasonable. I'll most likely go back to using Nx2 and look at lightroom before that happens.

I noticed that support for your Nikon D7200 was included in Service Pack 3 for PSPX7. Have you downloaded and installed that service pack? If not you will need to. If you have you might try re-running/re-installing the service pack to see if it corrects it.
