Serious problem

Post by pepegota »

VS Pro X8 does not play when I press the play button. The cursor does not move. Reinstall did no good. I checked for protexis and it does not display under services. Program is now useless-please help. Win 7, 64 bit. My other computer plays it fine and shows protexis.

Probably not the program then.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi pepegota

First as far as I know Protexis would stop the program running so if it starts ok then its not Protexis.

Are you able to play the sample videos from the library?

If yes…..what are the properties of the problem video file, right click a clip in the timeline and choose properties, post an image of that panel.

I finally fixed it. I checked the computer, with sfc/scannow, and found errors. So, I reinstalled my latest backup image. Now, the cursor would function properly but, a new culprit popped up. WMV files would not play from the VS library. So, I reinstalled VS and now everything is working fine. What a merry go round.
