Trial version won't launch

I've been using PSP since Jasc created it years ago. I now uses PSP X3, but since the pop-up ad about X6 for $19 came up, I decided to download the trial version and see if there is anything I find useful in the newer version. My first mistake was to download X7 instead of X6. I did get it to run, but realized it was not the version for $19. I uninstalled it and downloaded X6 trial version. I cannot get X6 to launch. I get the first window that asks me to register, and I get the second window that ell me I have 30 days left in my trial period. After that, nothing. I have been trying everything I can think of to solve the issue. I uninstalled and re installed several times, I disabled my antivirus and tried again, I tried to use system restore and discovered that it wasn't making regular scheduled restore points, so that was not an option, I tried reinstalling X7 but I have the same problem with it now, I've run out of ideas. I'm disappointed that you cannot communicate with Corel Tech without being a current user (X3 is no longer covered). Does anyone know of anything else I can try to get PSP X6 or X7 to launch?

See the "CLEAN UP TOOLS FOR PSP X4, X5, X6 and X7 " section of this board and make a clean uninstall. Perhaps it will help...

In another posting a solution was to delete one of Windows' updates - not sure which version this was for. Do a search on this site.
