I've used PaintShop X6 without problem for 18 months. Now, when I click the desktop icon I get the message that Windows can not find the file PaintShop Pro.exe. The folders and files are where they should be and even clicking onto the exe file gives the same warning message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software including a new install in safe mode (i.e. nothing else running).
Using Windows 7 Professional, 32bit, I've used a restore point before this problem started, no change.
I've downloaded X7 trial, installed and uninstalled three times, but get exactly the same results.
My other software appears to be OK including Picasa 3 and Photoshop Elements 13 (I prefer PaintShop!). I've run disk checks and memory checks and all appear to be fine.
PaintShop X6 & X7 won't start.

Re: PaintShop X6 & X7 won't start.
Hi Phil, it's recommended that you use the clean up tools when removing PSP. They are in a pinned post in this forum.
It seems odd that you cannot open/run either X6 or X7. There must obviously be something else going on for this to happen that I cannot help you with. If you downloaded the trial of X7 and it wouldn't open, you can get help from Corel. Give them a try. You may find more information and help here: http://howto.corel.com/en/c/PaintShop_I ... ter_Videos
