Paint Shop Pro X7 Will Not Open At All

Post by jackie-lala »

I can't get X7 to open at all, even going to a picture and using 'Open With' option.

Has it ever worked for you? One thing you might do is check the Task Manager to see if it is still running in the background. This happens sometimes. If so, just kill the process and try to start X7 normally.

If it *was* working before, you could try resetting it by holding down the Shift button when clicking on the desktop PSP icon to open it. You will then get a message asking if you want to reset the program, and you OK that...

Yes, it worked fine before. It's not running in the background. I googled the issue and someone suggested uninstalling a windows update, and that didn't work.
I uninstalled it and reinstalled to no avail. Neither the 32 nor the 64 bit version will open.

Thank you Ken! That got the splash screen to come up, alas, it crashed right after that in both the 32 bit and 64 bit.
