Red line and buzzing audio

This might be a stupid problem, I don't know. But I've got 90 kids who want to see a video of their week at camp in 8 hours. I've just upgraded to mediastudio from videostudio7. I used the trial and never had any problems. After purchasing, I get a red line running across the timelime. From what I can find that means that video hasn't been rendered. However, when I attempt to preview the project, it goes through the render process then displays the video but only buzzing for the audio.

I've tried reboot, new project, reinstall. Any ideas?

Sounds like the project settings don' t match the videos stream properties.

Have you tried playing it in MediaPlayer?

The audio properties didn't match, however, I've changed them and the problems still occurs. Curiously, I made a video file from the project and the audio is fine. I plays fine on all the clips in the source window and when doing a scrub preview, it just doesn't work with a normal preview.
