Hallo!
I have used VS Pro x5 and later VS Pro x7 without any problems with windows 8. Then I upgraded to win 8.1. Now I have many troubles: The sound of MOV-files (from a Nicon cam) cracks, VS Pro x7 hangs up even
during running the project. Rendering is impossible -> VS Pro x7 hangs up.
Does anyone have an idea to solve these preblems?

Re: Problems with windows 8.1
Have you tried reinstalling X7? I ask since I assume you upgraded to Win 8.1 by simply updating Win 8 and keeping all your existing programs already installed on Win 8 including X7. It is likely that some of the settings for X7 in Win 8 got corrupted with the update to 8.1. So I would first try reinstalling X7.

Re: Problems with windows 8.1
Hi,
Thanks for answer, but of course I deinstalled and installed VS X7 several times. Only the project files remained.
But the problems were not solved. I also tried the demo version of VS X8. The problems were similar. Not even
playing a new small project works properly. After some minutes (not reproducible) the preview screen turns black,
no sound but the timeline walks further till the end of the project.

Re: Problems with windows 8.1
No more ideas, sorry... All I can say is that I have two computers on which Win 8.1 was installed already, without an existing version of Win 8.0 already installed. And I have both VS X7 and X8 on both, and both are working perfectly well. And quite a few other users with Win 8.1 also don't have any problems. So it is clearly not a problem of then interaction between VS and the operating system. But I'm afraid I can't think what else it might be...
Have you upgraded Quicktime (which controls the .mov format) to the latest version?
