Undo not working

Post by rdolmat »

Another quick question for y'all.

How come UNDO doesn't work for me? I change and type text...CTRL-Z....nothing...I change text kerning and size...CTRL-Z...nothing....

What's the point of having UNDO if it doesn't work. I mean...it IS 2015...PSP X7 should finally get with the times and have a proper UNDO?

Undo works for me just fine, in fact, I've never had any problem with undo.
Check your keyboard shortcuts for Ctrl+Z is allocated.

Also, this forum contains PSP users just like yourself, not employees of Corel so getting uptight with PSP at us won't help. We try to help people as much as we can with our experience, but we don't always have the answer for what you may require.

Thanks for your help. Yes, sorry. I was getting frustrated and thought this was also a Corel web board. I'll know for next time :)

Likewise it has always worked for me. You might want to try resetting the program by holding down the Shift key while clicking the Paintshop icon.

Maybe check program preferences first: menu File/Preferences/General Program Preferences.../Undo, and make sure Enable the undo systerm is checked.

It is unclear what you are asking about there.
1. I prepared a transparent canvas 1000 x 1000
2. I selected the text tool and typed in some letters and yes you are right Control Z does not work at this point. You will also note that the Undo arrow at the top is also not available.

This is because you are in Text mode and only tools and operations useful in that mode are available. When you click the Apply Changes arrow then the other functions Control Z and Undo arrow are available.
(just as a tip when starting perhaps you should click the presets and then the Reset to Default button to get the Kearning and other properties back to their default.)

As usual with most tools they work well in the right environment.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867

Thank you. I was a little confused by not being able to undo while in text-edit mode. But as you mentioned, undo works perfectly as soon as I switch to another mode. That was a tad confusing to me.
