New Version, new Issues: ASP crashes right after start

Post by imhotep »

Hi Folks,

I just installed the latest update.
Unfortunately it crashes right after the startup. It promts a dialogue to enter the directories. I just accept the defaults. After pressing OK it crashes.

Code: Select all

karsten@imhotep:~> AfterShot2X64
Install Path: /opt/AfterShot2(64-bit)
LD_PATH: /opt/AfterShot2(64-bit)/lib:
XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS: 1
I have SSE2
Bibble program arguments ("./AfterShotPro")
Loaded "/opt/AfterShot2(64-bit)/supportfiles/locale/aftershot_de.qm"
Loaded "/opt/AfterShot2(64-bit)/supportfiles/locale/qt_de.qm"
first run - setting up folders
Setting default catalog location to: "/home/karsten/Bilder/AfterShot Catalogs"
Loading plugins
"Error loading plugin: /home/karsten/.AfterShot/Plugins (64-bit)/asPluginManager.afplugin"
"Plugin library contained no recognizable symbols."
Fatal: QMetaType::registerType: Binary compatibility break -- Size mismatch for type 'QPaintBufferCacheEntry' [1024]. Previously registered size 16, now registering size 0.

Abgebrochen

Any idea how to fix this?
I am so tired of having issues with this application...

Best regards,

Karsten

remove all Plugins manually from the Users plugin folder

Code: Select all

/home/karsten/.AfterShot/Plugins (64-bit)/
And only install compatible 64bit plugins after that.

eg. asPluginManager is not available.

Thanks, it worked. At least without any plugins.

I used to use the 64-Bit version all the time. Hence, all installed plugins are 64 Bit compatible. What an unreasonable update procedure to reinstall all plugins

for the current version also all plugins have to be changed and recompiled for QT 5. So ther are few plugins which work with ASP 2.2 yet. See the other threads...
