VideoStudio X8 wont read X7 VSP files

VideoStudio X8 wont read X7 VSP files
When I try to load a VSP file created in an earlier edition of Video Studio into X8 (the trial version), the system thinks for a few seconds and presents an empty file. I did not have this problem with X7. Has this been a problem before?

No -- it's an aspect of the trial version of X8. Corel did a number of other silly things with the trial version, making it virtually worthless.
