X7 - Can't find transparency in layers palette

Post by JoeB »

EDIT: FOUND IT. Just now where I was used to seeing it in PSP9.

My layers palette doesn't have the part that has layer transparency sliders and I can't find how to get it. Any help would be appreciated.

If you would like to see an individual opacity slider next to each layer you can turn on the "Right pane" inside the layers palette.

File -> Preferences -> General Program Preferences

Under the "Palettes" category, there is a section for the "Layers palette" and a checkbox for "Right Pane" check this. It'll split the layers palette in half showing the layer preview on the left and the sliders on the right.

Thanks for that info! I thought the Right Pane checkbox was just a way to put the layers palette on the right of the workspace, and it was already there so I didn't check it. Oldtimers setting in, I guess. :-) Not sure that I'll need it now if the opacity slider at the top works for whatever layer is in focus, but still it's nice to have your clarification. Thanks!
