Can no longer access online help files pspx4-5

Post by jaws231 »

Hi everybody!
I have pspx4 and pspx5 installed (for a few years now) and they are both running fine except that suddenly, in the last few days, when I click on help in pspx4(at top of page or individual dialog boxes) pspx5 opens up and then immediately crashes! when I click on help in pspx5, nothing happens. My default browser is and always was google chrome. I have been tempted to restore both programs to their original state, or even to reinstall both, but that is a lot of trouble without knowing if that will fix the problem. Anyone ever experienced anything like this, and if so, what is the solution?
Thanks!

I just opened up my PSP X5, clicked on Help, under Help- and it opened my internet browser to the online manual for X5. No problems with program crashing. I also have PSP X2, X3 and X6 on my computer.

Sounds to me like some of your X4 and X5 program files have somehow gotten mixed up- I would do a clean uninstall using the cleanup tool listed at the beginning of this forum, and then reinstall. I don't think their is a simple way to fix your problem.
