I captured MicroMV with studio 9 !!!
I can't believe it, after more than a few hours of screwing around, I was able to successfully capture video using ulead videostudio 9. It didn't work when I installed it first. So, I installed 7, which worked fine, then I installed, version 8, and it worked fine, I then installed version 9, and after ramping up to it, it worked! I was shocked, I didn't think it would. Version 8 & 9 would not work, until I removed them, then installed version 7, and installed version 8, then version 9. I have all three on my computer now.

As I got a new PC I decided to try VS9 to replace my Movieshaker.
I see that last year you finally got it to work. Did you ever discover what VS7 files were needed (or why it worked) or did you just carry on with VS7, 8 and 9 loaded!
Any help you can suggest. I really don't want to buy the older versions too! I know I can capture with Movieshaker, then mmv2mpg, then us VS9, but I didn't find Movieshaker that bad for the kind of editing I have been doing, and that seems a lot of trouble to get the VS9 features

You dont need to install previous versions to get the current version to work.
What has probably happened is that the initial installation failed to install correctly for one of several possible reasons. when you later installed it again it installed correctly.
If you have a problem with your installation then if you have the version supplied on a disc, run the installation program again and you get a "Repair" option.
If you have a download (ESD) version then you may have to uninstall first before re-installing. the procedure for uninstalling is contained in the 2nd post down here:
