The actual editing program itself is identical, whether Pro or Ultimate. What makes the Ultimate program different are the third party plug-ins that come with it, including proDAD Adorage effects, Mercalli, RotoPen and Boris Graffiti. Those come in a separate Bonus Contents file, in addition to the main program installation file and its Contents file.

If you have those bonus plug-ins, I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't install.

Another realization I've came to. The Pro version that works is 17.1.0.37 and I didn't install sp1 afterward because it said it was already up to date. I activated it using my key too .... I thought sp1 was 17.1.0.22? It was a trial installer that didnt ask for the key right away.... So i'm wondering if there is a newer installer for the ultimate that would work?

This is going to sound crazy... but i fixed it. So i took the file the error was refering to from the Pro install that was working... I uninstalled the pro version. Installed the ultimate version. Installed sp1, then replaced that file with the file from the newer pro version... and now it works.... weird right? the version that didn't work of the file was 17.0.0.249. that file wasn't updated with sp1 and thats why it didnt work for me.
