another 24p question to the pro's!

I ended up uninstalling all things videostudio on my pc, then reinstalled X8 and the bundles. I think it might be OK now.
Here are two screen grabs of my project settings, and the output is checked to be the "same as project settings", because "same as first clip" from the dropdown is unselectable.
