pspx6 slow

Post by mandevon »

I purchased pspx6 last week the special offer.

The last pspx2 I used regularly was fast and efficient on my top end W7 pro computer but pspx6 hangs a bit especially on start up.

Any solutions Please?

Also my Epson printer SX515W will not connect up wirelessly to pspx6 (x2 is ok), any solutions to that one as well please.

PSPX2 "fast and efficient" PSPX6 "hangs a bit"
These are vague terms that convey no real meaning apart from X2 starts faster than X6.
If others do not have the same two versions then they cannot compare.
How about some times.
I compared 32 bit versions of X2, X6 and X7, starting the timer after I double clicked the desktop icon then placing the cursor over the New document button and clicking that as soon as the hourglass stopped and stopping the clock when the new document appeared. This is on an XP computer - probably a bit slow compared with Win 7. In all cases start was into Edit mode as X2 did not have a Manage / Adjust mode.
The first time is from first opening and the second time after a close and restart the program which is a bit faster. I give the version numbers in case there is a difference between version's numbers times.

X2 15 sec, 5 sec Ver 12.50
X6 19 sec, 7 sec Ver 16.0.0.113
X7 18 sec, 6 sec Ver 17.1.0.72

That may give you an idea of what could be expected.

Hartpaui, thank you for your reply, I am getting the same figures as you so perhaps I have nothing to complain about. (must admit I am on steroids at the moment so perhaps outside factors are making me complain)

My XP machine takes about 2 1/2 minutes to start up, so I come to the cmputer in the morning and switch on, then do toiletries , measure out pills, refill water jar , weigh myself and then sit down at computer, do blood sugar test and then finally start to operate thhe computer which is ready by then.
Don't wait around , use the time of waiting for something else and you will feel the improvement in productivity.
(Confucius not say!!!! :-) )
