Templates for Paintshop Pro x7

Post by JewelsS1 »

Hello!

Am I just not searching for the correct things or are there no available templates to make collages or clusters of images in Corel like one would be able to do in Photo Shop?

I am looking to expand my business to provide cards with orders, but individually sizing and positioning every single clients cards or photo books is just not particularly appealing to me.

Does anyone know where to order them, or even how to make them?

Thank you for your help!

What exactly do you mean by "templates"?

I know that in scrapbooking, layered templates are common and although they are in .psd format, they can be opened in Paintshop too and used the same way. Although there is no clipping mask, there is something working the same that you can purchase :

and

Or a combined one here: http://creationcassel.com/store/index.p ... cts_id=356
(there is a video illustrating how this one works so you can see if it will do what you are looking for)

Templates exist in PSP:
-> Open an image (for example, a business card) in PSP
-> File -> Print Layout
-> File -> Open Template -> Category Avery International
-> Select template C32011 (Quick Clean Business card) -> OK
-> Click on button (top) "Fill template with Image"
-> That's done...

You may also create your own templates.

Seems to have been some confusion about what type of templates and how they are used.
JewelsS1 mentions tha they are available in Photoshop. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to find a tutorial or demo of that feature (afterall PS is supposed to have the biggest range of tutorials and videos - so I am told by avid PS users) and then post a link to that . Remember that a picture is worth a 1000 words so they say and perhaps 3-4 extra posts.

I think they might be looking for something like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwfBci-gYNs

Is anyone else trying to figure out how to make a script and templates it can work on? No? Just me? Okay then.

PSP once tried something like this with an external maker (that id not go over well) but no, as far as I know we don't have any thing in PSP that's exactly like this. Print Templates is currently the closest we have. You can load in templates that have been created and force pictures to resize and fit within certain frames. But it's not very advanced and it's meant for printing not saving as its own image.

Well, Matthew, i have one script that might be usable once someone has a set layered template:
http://creationcassel.com/store/index.p ... cts_id=195

Depending on the end result Jewel wants, maybe a single template can be made and used with that script??

Template created for printing allows the attached realisation.
You may also print it to a PDF and later extract the image from the PDF in JPG, TIFF or PNG format.

Does somebody knows what does PSP when checking "Print to file" ? (see screen capture)

Best regards,
Jean-Luc

I always use PSP templates found in Print Layout. Click the icon on the tool bar with two rectangles on the image and this opens a whole range of templates. You can even create your own and save as custom templates.
