That title message...
I've looked everywhere to see if I can disable the message that says, "Double-click here to add a title". It's driving me nuts. It reappears constantly and I have to click a folder or some other effect to remove it and I do this hundreds of times each editing session. It blocks my view of my video! Any solution to this?? I don't remember it being quite so aggressive in my trial of VS X7. I own VS X8.

Re: That title message...
As far as I am aware, that message only appears on the screen if you leave the Title option selected to the immediate right of the preview screen -- that's the big T which is highlighted in yellow when selected. It has always acted this way, at least in all versions I have used going back to version 7 11 or 12 years ago. You can't disable it as it's an integral part of being able to make a title. But if you want just to get back to editing the rest of your project once you have made a title, just select one of the other functions -- I usually revert to the very top icon which brings up the library where you store all the clips in the project. See the attached image...

What you want VS to do if you keep clicking on the title track?

Re: That title message...
You only click on the title track if you want to create a title - so VideoStudio puts up the message for you - if you do not want the message to appear do not click on the title track

Re: That title message...
Actually, it does it for the overlay tracks as well. And for whatever reason, what it was doing has stopped. It brought that message up regardless of what tab I was in. Something must have triggered it into a bug state that's not always present.BrianCee wrote:You only click on the title track if you want to create a title - so VideoStudio puts up the message for you - if you do not want the message to appear do not click on the title track

Re: That title message...
I would like VS to assume I know how to add a title and stop plastering it across the whole screen. Too much to ask obviously.asik1 wrote:What you want VS to do if you keep clicking on the title track?

Re: That title message...
And instead of you being the only person I recall making this complaint in the 12 years I have been on the Board, we would be faced by I don't know how many questions by newbies and others about how to start the title sequence!

I agree with Ken, the only time the text shows is when having the "T" selected in the vertical icon list.Ken Berry wrote:As far as I am aware, that message only appears on the screen if you leave the Title option selected to the immediate right of the preview screen -- that's the big T which is highlighted in yellow when selected. ..

Re: That title message...
I understand that that's how it is supposed to work. For whatever reason, it kept flipping back to that title tab over and over. But sometimes it works fine and doesn't do that. No doubt a bug of some kind, but since it is obvious that this is a bugged state, I can exit the program and restart it and it stops doing that.lata wrote:I agree with Ken, the only time the text shows is when having the "T" selected in the vertical icon list.Ken Berry wrote:As far as I am aware, that message only appears on the screen if you leave the Title option selected to the immediate right of the preview screen -- that's the big T which is highlighted in yellow when selected. ..
Maybe it has something to do with creating the original file in a trial version of X7.
