I recently had a cryptolock virus that took out my harddrive. I had the laptop cleaned and resinstalled with Windows, but I'm in the process of reinstalling all my programs and apps.
I had Corel Video Studio Pro X5. I still have my purchase serial number and activiation code for that, but I need the installation file. Is there someplace on the corel site, or via support, I can get that?
Also, while I'm at it, a question: I primarily use videostudio to edit and convert large video files (7-9GB) to mp4 720 dpi. My pro X5 does it fine, but it does take a while and the laptop (fairly new Alienware gamer laptop) cranks away. Would VX8 be able to do this faster?
Thanks in advance, Jane
Is it possible to get an install file for V X5 Pro?

Hello and welcome to the forum
I have assumed that you really mean X5 and X8 and have amended your post accordingly V5 and V8 are very very old programmes I have assumed you are talking X5 (version 15) and X8 (version 18) which is the current one
to your problem - you should be able to download your programme from the Corel website - please go to this topic - http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=53001&
and follow the instructions in my answer there - it is for paintshop but the process is exactly the same for VideoStudio
