How do you clear the cache in PSP X7

Post by Izzy »

Hello all !
Newbie here (refugee from the other guys).
Looked in the options, help files, etc.
Couldn't find what I was looking for.
Don't know if I missed it or it's just not there.
Figured I'd ask!
How do you clear the cache?

Try going to C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Corel PaintShop Pro\17.0\Database and delete ImageDB.db. It will be recreated the next time you start PSP - or change the name if you are squeamish. In the same spot you will also find the Cache and Thumbs folders if you wish to play with or delete the contents.

Thankyou!
I'll try method 1 first.
In any case, I'll certainly look at method 2.

Go to File, Reset Preferences, place a tick in Delet all cache files. (Active cachers rebuilt on restart).

Ah Thanks, that's it. I was going to say the same thing but got a brain failure and couldn't think of the answer.

Thanks guys! Looks like method #1 worked fine.
Tried to look at #2 but didn't see all the folders.
Guessing they might be hidden and since I just
recently got this puter I'm going to wait till I
become a bit more familiar with the OS
(puter it replaced was an old XP machine)
before playing around with those settings....Izzy
