mercalli stuck video analysis needs to be executed again

can't get past "video analysis needs to be executed again".

I've used numerous different progressive sources from many cameras, tried different share configurations hoping its something simple, customize filter attributes never becomes accessible, it just stays greyed out. any ideas?

Corel videoStudio ultimate X6.

after no success in x6 I installed the plugin in the trial version of X8, it shows up but same exact thing happens there also.

No sense buying X8 if I can't get mercalli to operate, I fly drones with the jiggles in the video I have to remove. I'm in Snoqualmie Washington outside of Seattle, scottslookingabout on youtube.

none of the FX filter has the customize filter available, it's greyed out on all the FX filters.

it's a drag and drop filter activation, not a double click. That had me hanging for a while till I figured that one out.

When you get that message overprinted over the preview screen immediately after applying Mercalli to a clip, have you then gone to the (blue?) Options tab midway down the right hand side of your monitor screen? See attached image -- it is from X7 but the tab should be in the same place in your version of VS.

You say you have then clicked on 'Customise Filter' which appears when the tab fills out but cannot go any further since I assume you are still seeing that message on the preview screen. If so, then that is normal. You should still be able to click on 'Customise Filter'. The Mercalli box should then appear and you run it. When the analysis is finished, the message still remains over the preview screen. You then simply click on the clip in the timeline after running Mercalli and that click should clear the screen of the message and leave the clip with the filter applied to it. Playing that clip in Project mode should show the clip to be much smoother... At least it does for me and my clips from my GoPro Hero 3...

the customise filter is greyed out, replace last filter, distort clip and show gridlines are functional.

I've tried numerous video source files, different share formats, nothing, 29.97p, 30p, I'm out of options that I can find.

I'm thinking a DLL is missing, or some kind of script file to get the customize filter to be operational.

Corel videostudio X6 ultimate.

I've also loaded X8 free trial and then loaded mercalli in that, exact same thing, no difference.

So it's not just Mercalli that has an issue, if all your FX filters have the Customize Filter greyed out. Have you tried reinstalling VSX6, what about your graphics card, are you using the latest drivers. Has this always been an issue with VSX6 or is it a recent problem

it may be the type of video you are using, can you give more details?
right click a clip and select properties what are they.

If Mov types, have you installed QuickTime player, Video Studio X6 did not provide this player?

Otherwise can you provide a sample video, upload to a sharing site , maybe windows one drive.

I reinstalled the program, having problems with internet now, some other programs are now giving me problems.

It's a drag when things just don't work right on the computer.

I think my power supply might be at it's limits, not enough juice going to the devices. The HP I'm using doesn't have much of a power supply in it. I have a additional power supply sitting beside my tower running the video card and a data hard drive, when the DVD is running, it might be taking juice from the memory modules when reading and writing to the hard drives.

Thanks for the help, I got it going. Forums are great for getting support.

My power supply unit is failing, I now have just the motherboard and the DVD Drive on the power supply, if I hook up anything else to it, I start to get crashes.

The Hp compaq 8000 elite power supply sucks bad, it's proprietary 4 pin / 6 pin / and a data wire size or low wattage 5 pin on a 6 pin header.
