This may be a bug or it may be the way in which the program is configured, so would someone please confirm that the problem is not just confined to my setup.
Add some video clips to the timeline, then add some Auto Music, music can be added without issue
Now start again, this time add music from other sources to some of the clips, now try to add Auto Music to the remaining clips, the add to timeline button remains greyed out, as long as there is music from other sources in the music track, the program will not allow you to add any Auto Music to fill in the gaps.

Re: Unable to Add Auto Music VSX8
Resolved the problem, it may be a workaround but I found that if i move all music from the voice track and 1st audio track into audio tracks 2 & 3, then I can add Auto music into audio track 1. It seems strange that even if you have something in the voice track only, you still cannot add Auto Music to Audio track 1. That will make things very difficult when doing voice overs, then trying to add background auto music later. Or maybe I have got the whole concept wrong, if so please enlighten me.

Re: Unable to Add Auto Music VSX8
My "add to timeline" icon is only greyed out if the timeline cursor is over one of the additional pieces of music - if I move the cursor off the end of any other music the 'add to' button automatically lights up
otherwise all works without problem for me - auto music is always added starting from the timeline cursor.

Re: Unable to Add Auto Music VSX8
Thanks Brian, Another senior moment for me I suspect, I thought that I had placed the cursor in the right location, obviously I must have been slightly off, expanding the timeline made it easier to position the cursor correctly and all's well now

Re: Unable to Add Auto Music VSX8
Short note on that subject.
I couldn't get auto music giving me score to the proper length I wanted. It was too short, so I added black at the end but it was too long , I tried to trim it and it fell too short again. finally I had to start it about half a second before "fade in" and it ends roughly where I want but not 100% ok to my "standard"....
