I've never had any problems with Panasonic or Sony RAW files in X6.
ASP2 is a nice program, really fast too.
However, a great free RAW editing program is Raw Therapee- it's quite sophisticated and not as easy to use as ASP2.

I'll take a look at ASP, LR, and Raw Therapee, to see what I like. Got a new lens today, so will be playing with it and will shoot a bunch of raw to learn on.
