Just another thing that worked in a previous version...

Post by Arnfinn »

The list of things that used to work perfectly before, but has now been garbled is getting longer...

A couple of weeks ago, I complained about the preview thumbnails being completely messed up in the latest version http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=56231

This time, I'm going to complain about the Multi Image View itself...

Actually, the Multi Image View is the very best feature of ASP and is where ASP is way ahead of it's competition. With Multi Image View, I can compare several images at once, scale and move them around seamlessly. This feature saves my day when sorting through a lot of images in an instant.

But.....

The last version of ASP has garbled something up, so this feature isn't working as seamlessly as it did before. When more than one image is selected and the Lock Position and Zoom button is set, everything should have been synchronized. At least it was, until the latest version of ASP.
The problem now is that when I zoom in or out, the center of the selected image is different from the other images in Multi Image View, so that it isn't longer positioned as the rest of the images. This is a major headache, when I have to look at a large number of images and compare details. Everytime I zoom in or out, I now have to toggle the Lock Position and Zoom button off and rearange the one (selected) image so that all the images are showing the same detail, and then toggle the Lock Position and Zoom button on once more to lock the position. ...and I have to repeat the process everytime I zoom a little bit in or out on the images...

The center point has to be the same for all selected images and at the center of the image view area when zooming in Multi Image View. It was OK and working before, so maybe a code gremlin is doing some nightly pranks inside the code...?

I hope this is a quick fix.

Please Corel... This deevolution feature is a major headache. Now sorting through 2000+ landscape and bird images from the easter holidays, and the zooming and panning is definately not consistant in Multi Image View when comparing images for deletion and rating :? :(

I have narrowed this down to be an issue when zooming with the mouse wheel. When I use the zoom slider or buttons under the image they all scale correctly from the center.

Well, zooming and doing most of the work with the mouse is less than half the work compared to pushing buttons and sliders (that are distributed on all possible corners of the UI) for every operation. Please fix this!!!

I could reproduce this just by toggling fit and 100%.

cheers
