I have had big problems trying to burn several copies of a DVD from my project in Version 8
I got a message that the TS file was in use, so I decided to try another disc and start again, which meant re-rendering the project.
I then twice got the Unspecified Error, so decided to restart the computer and try again
I then successfully re-rendered and burned two disks at speed 2.4x
I then got a message that "File or folder not found", so had to re-render again. Again the software burned two discs and then came up with the same error message. I checked the Disk Image Folder in 18.0 and the disk image is not there. Why is it losing the disk image file after burning twice.
Has anyone else had this weird experience?

Not sure if I'm following what you are up to exactly Maurice - but I can give you my thoughts
When you get to the last window in the burn module are you selecting to burn multiple DVDs in there and then putting DVDs in as instructed and burning them ? I never do multiples that way but I did not think VideoStudio made a disc image file to do that - I thought it just held temporary files in the DMF-Temp folder and just kept burning those to DVD so if I selected multiple copies I would not be expecting to see a disc image file (.iso) anywhere - but as I say I do not do that so I could be wrong.
Almost invariably when I get to that last window I untick burn to disc and choose to make a Disc Image file (.iso) - then use the inbuilt iso burning module in VideoStudio to burn as many DVDs as I want - you can then keep that iso file for ever so that if anyone at any time wants another copy it is very quick and easy to make one. The other big advantage in doing that is that you only ever render the DVD image once - even if a burn goes wrong for whatever reason (say faulty disc) you just throw the disc and the iso file is there ready to burn again without any more rendering

Re: Burning Problems with X8
Thanks for your reply
I usually request to burn as many disks as I need, but also request a disk image file to be created too, so that I can use it in the future if I need to. This is what I did today and my first post described what happened, so I am most puzzled, because I did not end up with an image file at all. However, I think that your method of just creating the disk image and then burning from the built in function is a good one - unfortunately I did not know that there was such a function until your reply!
By the way - my name is Michael

Re: Burning Problems with X8
Oh I am sorry Michael - I must have misread something in a previous post - or even some one else's post - I'll remember in future.
It maybe that the iso file you created did not go to the 18.0 folder - the save path for iso files can be changed in that final 'burn' window - and indeed sometimes it seems to change by itself depending on what else you are doing within VideoStudio - might be worth checking in the last burn window if it is going to 18.0
The iso burning module can be accessed in VideoStudio by clicking through "Tools >> Burn from disc image file(iso)" and the iso window will open

Re: Burning Problems with X8
Even stranger - I have found the Disk Image File and it is in 18.0, but only in my Memeo Back-up location, not on my C drive. Perhaps this is because the last burn failed and it overwrote the original image with a blank. Anyway, ii's time for bed here, so I won't be doing any more tonight!
